Celebrity Big Brother legend unrecognisable 10 years after controversial stay in the house
CELEBRITY Big Brother fans have been left doing a double take after catching a glimpse at one of the show’s most iconic housemates.
The Hollywood actor, 79, is now unrecognisable from when he won CBB almost an entire decade ago.
The series kicked off in August 2014 and Gary Busey ensured all eyes were on him as he entered the house.
Host Emma Willis looked baffled as he repeatedly asked her: “Don’t you have any questions for me? I thought you were going to ask me three questions?”
She then took the Point Break star by the hand and gingerly led him up the stairs and to the front door.
These days, Gary is quietly minding his own business back in his native America and is making a few bucks flogging personalised videos.
Using the celeb messaging platform Cameo, Gary charges fans £300 for a personalised clip.
Gary, who claims he died following a motorbike accident, has shared one of the videos on Instagram. He recorded it for a woman called Cathy.
“Good times celebrating Cathy’s birthday with a #cameo shoutout…just had to share it with y’all,” he wrote.
In the footage, a slimmer and older Gary can be seen strumming a guitar while doing Elvis Presley impressions.
He has dressed up for the occasion in a smart jacket and giant scarf and is singing his own version of ‘Happy Birthday’ to Cathy.
But writing in the comments, one fan asked: “Gary my man, you feelin ok?”
Another said: “You look so different!”
And a third wrote: “He’s barely recognisable.”
However, most of Gary’s followers have showered the star with compliments.
“You’re a legend Gary!” one told him.
Another gushed: “You rock dude you are my all time favourite actor by far!”
While someone else chimed in: “Keep on rocking @thegarybusey and keep spreading positivity.”
Gary was born in Texas and started his career as a drummer in the group The Rubber Band.
He landed a role in a local TV show and soon after his star began to rise.
Gary is best known for taking on the lead role in the 1978 film The Buddy Holly Story, for which he received an Oscar nomination.
He also took main parts in Point Break, Lethal Weapon and Predator 2.
In 2014, Gary became the first American person to win Celebrity Big Brother – and his appearance was somewhat memorable.
Revealing his very eccentric side from the word go, he chose to roam around the CBB house naked, left the toilet seat up and repeatedly shared acronyms with his housemates.
Gary starred in the show alongside celebs including The Only Way Is Essex‘s Lauren Goodger, US reality star Stephanie Pratt and former Strictly Come Dancing professional James Jordan.
After his win, Gary told Emma Willis: “My highlight was… having my trousers on.”
