Finding designer style on the high street is what we do best as fashion editors every day.
The high street’s ability to do a really good dupe never ceases to amaze me, but this year they’re even more phenomenal.

Divisive as they may be, ballet pumps are a timeless classic that you can always go back to, and they aren’t going anywhere this season.
This H&M pair of black toe-capped Chanel-inspired shoes are a dead ringer for the real thing – and less than £20. Bargain!

I’ve never really liked bold designer logos or ‘IT’ pieces that scream “I am very expensive look at me!”. I’ve learnt that items like that have no wardrobe longevity.
Simple designer pieces that won’t date are much more up my street, because I want to wear them for a very long time.
I love filling my fashion fantasy basket on Net-a-Porter, but with a daughter in uni and a son still at school, there’s no way I can afford to check out!
So, finding a great designer dupe on the high street or online at a small independent that is also really good quality is always a buzz, because I am a really fussy customer.
- SPLURGE: Bag, £1,970, Bottega Veneta at Net-a-Porter – BUY NOW
- SAVE: Bag, £130, Miele Bianco at In The Tote – BUY NOW
I have just discovered online brand Miele Branco and I like the simple design aesthetic. I also like the saving of £1,840!
- SPLURGE: Fringed jacket, £1,704, Nili Lotan at Net-a-Porter – BUY NOW
- SAVE: Fringed jacket, £169, Zara – BUY NOW
Spanish brands are great at doing leather. Mango, Zara and Massimo Dutti always have such great quality leather and suede pieces. Save £1,535 and look stylish in this season’s must-have western look.
I am pretty obsessed with the brand Khaite.
Its clean lines and no-fuss approach to design is just so cool.
Snakeskin is big news for spring/summer this year, so if you want to dip your toe into the trend on a budget, these gorgeous Guess boots are so worth it.

Like most 20-somethings, I’m trying to prioritise saving over spending at the moment.
However, with a job where I spend the majority of my time in the fashion cupboard and checking out the new trends, it can be difficult to resist a new purchase every now and then.
Thankfully, the high street is on fire with savvy dupes of the runway pieces on every fashion enthusiast’s wish-list.
While I definitely don’t mind spending a little more when it comes to accessories, especially when they’re made from real leather, this Acne Studios handbag is a little over budget for me.
So I’ll be skipping the hefty price tags, thanks to high street brand Arket, which always has a gorgeous selection of no-fuss, good-quality bags.
I’m obsessed with Ralph Lauren’s American flag cashmere jumpers – but less obsessed with the price tag.
If you can look past the vast selection of puffer coats and hoodies at the front of any Superdry store, there’s actually plenty of hidden treasures to be found, and this dupe is at the top of the list.
Plus, I’m really into the retro edge that the branded Superdry logo gives off.
These Alaia ballet flats are constantly selling out since they were labelled the ‘It Girl’ shoe of the season. If, like me, you love the look but not sure how long the trend will last, this pair from River Island are almost identical and £715 cheaper. Win!

I love a designer feel, but I also love a good bargain, so I’m always heading to the high street to get gorgeous high-end-looking pieces that are still within my budget.
There are loads of good options for a high-street bag that looks designer, and this one from H&M is a great alternative to the Celine Triomphe bag – which costs a mega £3,200! Treat yourself to the H&M £27.99 dupe and you save £3,172.01.
Clothing dupes are sometimes not as easy to find as accessories, especially when they’re printed, but I’ve spotted Forever New has an amazing floral dress reminiscent of one from Zimmermann.
When it comes to shoes, you can’t beat a classic style like Chanel. However, if your budget doesn’t allow for nearly £1,000 on a pair, Next has a great alternative that we really rate.
