EastEnders’ Denise Fox flees into the woods to escape the devil in harrowing scenes
EASTENDERS’ Denise Fox has fled Walford and run into a forest as her mental breakdown reached a dangerous level tonight.
The hairdresser – who is played by actress Diane Parish in the BBC soap – has been spiralling out of control over the guilt of being involved in and covering up Keanu Taylor’s death.
Viewers know he was killed by The Six after he tried to kill Sharon Watts.
Denise has been having visions of Keanu and has become convinced the devil is haunting her to punish her for her part in the plot.
Last night she visited ex-husband – and serial killer – Lucas Johnson for help and confessed to hiding a body.
After somewhat confiding in Lucas, Denise spiralled into insisting the devil was coming for her and that he had got to him.
It convinced Lucas that Denise hadn’t covered up a murder and instead was suffering from a breakdown.
She rushed back to the Square and continued to spiral thinking Johnny Carter was the devil in question.
Seeing that she was scaring her children, Denise decided she had to go on the run to protect them all.
As Amy hid the car keys in an effort to keep Denise at home but instead she ended up going with her hoping that Ricky would be able to find their dad and get help before they got too far.
But as they drove Amy tried to summon help but Denise caught her and threw her phone out of the window.
She almost crashed the car before coming to a stop in a forest.
Denise spiralled again and told Amy to stay in the car and she would run so the devil wouldn’t get her.
“It’s me he wants so I’ll lead him away and keep you safe,” she said before fleeing alone into the woods.
