Liverpool And Newcastle United Suffer Benjamin Sesko Blow

Liverpool and Newcastle United target Benjamin Sesko has claimed that he wants to spend several years at RB Leipzig moving forward in what could be a blow to his Premier League suitors.

Leipzig signed the forward from Red Bull Salzburg last summer and the young forward has impressed in his first season in the Bundesliga.

He has scored three times in his last four league games and is already being linked with a move away from Leipzig at the end of the season.

Sesko has suitors across Europe, including the Premier League, where Newcastle and Liverpool are amongst the teams who are keeping tabs on his situation at Leipzig.

However, Sesko indicated that he is not thinking about leaving the Bundesliga in the near future.

The forward insisted that he is looking to spend several years at Leipzig before considering any move.

Sesko told German magazine Sport Bild (via Fussball Transfers): “I want to spend a lot of time here because the club suit me well.

“We’ll see how many years it will be in total.”

If Sesko is set against leaving Leipzig now, that would rule out a move to Liverpool or Newcastle in the summer.

Sesko has netted ten times in 29 appearances in all competitions this season and has a contract until 2028 with Leipzig.
