APD searching for leads in north Austin apartment complex homicide investigation

AUSTIN (KXAN) — The Austin Police Department’s Homicide Unit is expected to provide an overview Wednesday and ask for public help identifying new leads in an ongoing homicide investigation.

APD said the investigation involved the death of 21-year-old Francisco Muntufa Miranda which occurred Jan. 8 at the Avalon Palms apartment complex, located at 9300 Northgate Boulevard.

The Homicide Unit is expected to speak at 3:30 p.m. to demonstrate its commitment to transparency with a focus on building trust through information sharing.
