Governor Glenn Youngkin Joins Virginia March for Life to Stand Against Abortion
Today, several thousand Virginians filled State Capitol grounds to speak up for the protection of unborn babies and vulnerable mothers during the 6th Annual Virginia March for Life. Participants rallied at the Capitol to hear pro-life leaders and elected representatives before marching around Capitol Square.
As he has previously, Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin today joined the Virginia March for Life to stand with thousands of pro-life Virginians against abortion.
Youngkin, who was the first governor in America a few years ago to actually participate in a March for Life, joined today’s pro-life event for the third year in a row. Short video footage shows him clapping happily along with other Virginia residents who are celebrating the lives of women and babies.
Also joining the march was Attorney General Jason Miyares.
Speakers included Lieutenant Governor Winsome Sears, who exhorted the crowd to stay faithful; Victoria Cobb, President of The Family Foundation of Virginia; and many more.

“Abortion extremists hold majorities in both the House of Delegates and the Senate. Those elected weren’t honest with the people of Virginia that they not only want legal abortion until the moment of birth, but also Virginia to be the abortion capital of the south, drawing desperate women across state lines for their abortion rather than for hope and a future. That’s not what the Commonwealth people seek. Virginians rallied to keep that level of extremism out of our Constitution and to remind people that the pro-life community offers diapers, formula and housing for women who find themselves in an unplanned pregnancy,” said Victoria Cobb, President of The Family Foundation of Virginia.
The event was co-hosted by The Family Foundation of Virginia, the national March for Life.
