Showers & fog overnight, much warmer weekend for Columbus area

Good Friday Evening,

It has been a cooler, and damp day today with temps back into the mid to upper 40s, pretty close to normal for this time of the year. Expect some scattered showers mainly before midnight tonight, with winds relaxing later, and temps slowly climbing, this will lead to patchy dense fog well after midnight. Low temps will be in the upper 30s to lower 40s and rising slowly toward daybreak.

Saturday expect morning patchy fog, lifting to cloudy skies, temps will slowly climb through the day and as sunshine peeks back out later in the day, expect highs back into the middle 50s. Sunday will have another mild start in the middle 40s, and numbers will surge into the upper 60s with more sunshine.

Monday will easily be the warmest day of the year so far, with highs into the lower 70s with partly cloudy skies. Monday overnight into Tuesday we will begin to see showers moving back in, but with the cold front not in the area yet, temps will still reach into the middle 60s on Tuesday.

Wednesday scattered showers will work through our area with highs a bit cooler, but well above normal in the upper 50s. We will see a bit of a break in the activity on Thursday with highs back into the middle 50s under mostly cloudy skies. Expect another chance of showers, but with mild conditions on Friday with highs in the upper 50s.
