Try my ‘underblushing’ technique on your cheeks – it’s a special makeup artist trick that makes you look airbrushed
A VIRAL blush technique may be able to make your complexion look airbrushed.
One 50-year-old makeup fan tested the technique and shared the results with her followers.
In her video, Melissa (@mtagbeauty) demonstrated each step of the beauty trick.
“I know you’ve heard of underpainting but have you also heard of underblushing?” the TikToker asked her audience.
“It’s one of those makeup artist tricks that is so cool and it really helps your blush look airbrushed and buffed out.”
For her first step, Melissa used the $25 Dew Blush in the shade Baby Pink.
“What you’re going to do is you’re going to take your favorite cream or liquid blush, you’re going to be generous with it,” she explained.
“I know it’s crazy but you’ve got to trust the process.”
Once she had layered on the blush on her upper cheeks, Melissa went in with the $29 Milk Makeup Concealer.
“You’re going to blend your concealer and really go up to that blush area a little bit under the eyes,” she said.
“See how airbrushed and buffed out that already looks?”
Melissa pointed out how the concealer faded into the blush on her cheeks.
“I’m not doing a lot under my eyes because I don’t want it to cake or crease throughout the day so I’m doing minimal right here,” she added.
For the final touch, Melissa applied the $38 One Size blush from Sephora.
“Now I’m going to lightly buff over that area with the One Size pink blush and here’s the final look,” she said.
Her followers shared their thoughts on the hack in the comments section.
“Been doing this forever, girlfriend. Your skin is glowing, just gorgeous,” wrote one viewer.
“I do this all the time! It’s so pretty!” said another impressed TikTok user.
“Pretty in pink, I like it,” commented a third person.
