Alasdair Gold has said that Lucas Bergvall is expected to dominate matches for Djurgardens this season before he links up with the Tottenham squad ahead of next season.
There is plenty of excitement at Tottenham about Bergvall’s capture, with several reports indicating that the Lilywhites are expected to hand the midfielder a prominent first-team role next season despite his relative lack of experience (Football Insider).
The 18-year-old has shown at the start of the new season just why there was so much interest in his services during last month’s transfer window, delivering dominating displays back in Sweden.
The midfielder netted a brace during Djurgardens in the 5-0 win over United Nordic in the Svenksa Cup clash on Sunday, with his second goal being a thing of beauty, with the youngster dribbling past half the side before slotting the ball into the back of the net.

Tottenham’s Lucas Bergvall is a dominant force
The press back in the Scandinavian country are continuing to wax lyrical about Bergvall (SvenskaFans) and Gold believes we are going to see more of the same from the midfielder over the coming months.
The journalist said on the Gold and Guest Talk Tottenham Podcast about the most recent Spurs signing: “He’s definitely going to be a dominant player for them this season. Last season he had an injury, but when he returned, you could see what he started to do. This season they believe he’s going to be their real dominant force.”

I am sure Postecoglou and those at Tottenham will be following Bergvall’s exploits at Djurgardens with keen interest. Often, when players know that they are leaving a club, we see a drop-off in their performances but that does not appear to be the case with the 18-year-old, which is perhaps proof of his excellent attitude.
