I’m a medic in the military and always face sexist men… I even get compared to Sydney Sweeney
MOST of us have been told that we have a celebrity look-a-like with some more flattering than others.
One woman, however, has been compared to Sydney Sweeney after wearing her Air Force uniform in a viral video – with sexism in the comments.
For those who are obsessed with Top Gun, you might want to start following Rylee Roast.
Having built a successful career as a medic in the Air Force, the twenty-something decided to share snippets of her life on Tiktok.
Almost immediately, her videos began to go viral and she has quickly gained over 611,000 followers on the app – thanks to her tongue-in-cheek videos.
However, the content creator was shocked to learn that her fans think she looks like A-List actress Sydney Sweeney.
As both women have petite features, long blonde hair and bright blue eyes, there is definitely more than a just bit of a resemblance.
In fact, it is almost uncanny how similar they are, with Rylee showing a photo of herself in the uniform and Sydney – who wore a similar outfit in the gritty whistleblower drama, Reality.
“Do I look like Sydney Sweeney? I mean, it’s a compliment if I do….I think that she’s beautiful,” the content creator gushed, clearly taken aback by her fans’ suggestion.
“Oh no, ma’am Sydney Sweeney looks like you,” said one impressed viewer, with another adding: “Honestly I think you are way prettier than Sydney Sweeney…”
Others weren’t so convinced though, with some even offering alternative suggestions in the comments – including Frida Gustavsson and Maude Apatow.
“I didn’t think it until you showed the pictures. Way closer than I thought,” said a third after seeing the now viral video.
Though the video has received over 177,000 views, it’s not the first time that Rylee has set hearts aflutter on the app.
Previously, the influencer has gone viral for showing what she looks like out of uniform, with a figure-hugging red bodycon dress and a light brown top.
Though she has plenty of admirers who love her Tiktok and outfit of the day posts, she also receives plenty of sexist comments.
In addition to asking to see her ‘out of uniform’, there are others who argue that women don’t belong in combat and warfare.
Whilst most of us might struggle with the constant attacks, Rylee seems to be able to laugh the digs off and even makes light of them in viral videos.
“Women were never designed to be in the military,” read one cruel comment, to which Rylee responded: “I guess I am a designer, then?”
Another attacking the content creator’s slender physic, writing: “So glad our country is protected by a 5 foot nothing skinny Sally in a onesie.”
As a proud veteran, Rylee’s reply was appropriately blunt with her writing: “Don’t come running to me when you need a medic…(joking, I help everyone).”
We are just glad that there are women like her to keep pushing the boundaries and fighting against sexism.
