Siena poll: 48% of voters would vote for Trump
ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Siena Research Institute released a poll covering prevalent topics in the U.S. on Saturday. The poll provided insight into what voters thought about the direction the country is going in, as well as what they felt about how the presidential election may turn out.
According to the poll taken in February, 65% of voters feel as though the U.S. is going in the wrong direction, versus 24% of voters who believe the country is on the right track. These numbers barely fluctuated from 2023, as 65% of voters felt the country was going in the wrong direction but 23% felt it was on the right track.
Voters also answered who they would vote for if it were down to former President Donald Trump and President Biden. According to the poll, former President Trump is favored at 48% of voters saying they'd vote for him and 43% saying they would vote for President Biden. The remainder of the voters did not know or refused to answer.
The poll then asked voters who they thought would win the presidential election if it were between President Biden and Former President Trump. The results showed that 48% of voters think former President Trump would win and 39% think President Biden would win.
