My $15 brow pen is better than high-end and looks like actual hair strokes – I got a drugstore dupe for Chanel too
A MAKEUP lover has shared some budget-friendly finds that help her look her best at an affordable price point.
She said to run to your local drugstore and grab them, including a dupe for a popular Chanel cosmetic item.
Ariane Mann (@arianemann) offers beauty tips for women of all ages.
She tried several beauty buys in a TikTok video that were not only high-quality and cheap but also similar to many high-end ones on the market.
The 48-year-old held the four items in her hands before she applied the first one.
If you’re looking to fill in your brows, she said the Maybelline Build-a-Brow 2-in-1 Brow Pen and Sealing Gel, $14.99, is the best she’s ever tried.
“This makes actual hair strokes to be very light-handed, but it works like nothing I’ve ever tried,” she added.
To compare how good the next product was, she showed her Chanel foundation that she used to wear, which cost $70.
Next, Ariane applied the Covergirl Simply Ageless Skin Perfector Essence Foundation, currently $15.98 on Amazon, in the shade Medium.
The light-coverage buy is mostly water-based and contains hyaluronic acid and a natural retinol called bakuchiol.
“Your skin just gets better and better with time,” she said.
Ariane then gushed about Nyx Duck Plump Plumping Lip Gloss, $13, which she said was “the most heat you’re going to find from a lip plumper.”
“I’m convinced that they put crushed jalapenos inside,” she said.
Lastly, she closed out the product review with the Maybelline The Falsies Surreal Mascara, $12.99, and the “only drugstore mascara” she would ever buy.
Not only does she love the way that it makes her lashes look, but she could actually rub her eyes and it doesn’t budge.
Viewers appreciated the advice and some already were hip to how good the beauty deals were.
“That CoverGirl foundation is great. It’s only $14 from Walmart. Gets shipped to the house quickly,” one commented.
“I am getting that eyebrow ASAP!” another woman said.
“I love that mascara too. I already have a backup,” a TikTok user wrote.
