I thrifted a brand-new blazer for $10 – it’s not just ‘old money’ vibes, I couldn’t believe it when I saw the label
A MONEY-SAVVY fashionista has stunned in a designer blazer that she bought from a thrift store for just $10.
She raved about the quality of the stylish blazer being like new as she showed the label inside that proved it was from a French luxury brand.
Renna (@rennanjoku) is steadily growing a following on TikTok, where she shares outfit inspiration.
She looked excited as she shared an item that she bought in a recent shopping haul.
“Girl, tell me why I thrifted this YSL blazer for $10,” she said.
“Yes, $10 and there are no holes, no marks, no loose threads.
“It’s literally brand new and I love the elbow patches on this.
“It’s giving old money vibes and we love that for me.
“I’m going to put together a couple of looks with this blazer. Let me know which is your favorite.”
The fashionista threw the blazer over her shoulders as she donned a white bodysuit and black mini skirt for her first outfit.
She completed the look with a small clutch bag and black court heels.
She then changed into a black bodysuit with loose-fitting ripped jeans and a black purse, while adding the blazer to mix casual and formal.
Renna styled the thrifted blazer for a third outfit which included black leggings and a cropped grey hoodie.
She posed from different angles to show how flattering the $10 blazer looked on her.
Many people were impressed by the fashion find and took to the comment section raving about the blazer.
“That blazer was a good find,” one person wrote.
“Yes! I couldn’t believe it,” Renna said.
“What a find, the beauty of thrifting!” another said.
“Right? Thrifting is becoming a hobby [laughing],” Renna replied.
“Loved the second and third looks,” a third commented.
An almost identical Yves Saint Laurent gray herringbone blazer with elbow patches is currently listed on eBay for $1,950.
Leather elbow patches began to appear on jackets towards the end of the 19th century as a way of prolonging the wear of garments.
Style enthusiasts have recently been embracing the old money aesthetic to look like someone who has generational wealth.
According to Harper‘s Bazaar, #OldMoney has racked up over 2.5 billion views on TikTok.
