I’m a celebrity make-up artist – my four favourite anti-ageing products banish wrinkles within hours
A CELEBRITY make-up artist has revealed the four anti-ageing products she uses to reduce wrinkles within hours.
Molly R. Stern works with the likes of supermodel Cara Delevingne, Barbie director Greta Gerwig and actress Reese Witherspoon.
And there’s a reason these three ladies always look ten years younger on the red carpet – the 51-year-old MUA knows the best products to call on for a youthful glow.
According to Molly, dryness and dehydrated skin are key contributors to prominent fine lines.
So, when she needs a client’s skin to be instantly “fresher and tighter and just ready” for the camera, she calls on the Natura Bissé Diamond Ice Lift Mask.
She described the peel-off mask as “a facelift in a bottle” – and you’d hope so, given a 100ml bottle costs £150 at Space NK.
“You paint it on, you let it dry, it sits for 20 minutes,” she told Business Insider.
MUA Molly, who is based in Los Angeles, also likes the Natura Bissé Diamond Glyco Extreme Peel for “a way more intensive exfoliation”.
The £250 skincare product exfoliates skin in just 15 minutes, with ingredients like glycolic acid working to smooth out wrinkles and even skin tone.
When getting her A-list clientele ready for the red carpet, Molly said there are two tools she can’t work without.
These are the Pause Fascia Stimulating Tool, which is £100 on QVC, and the Jillian Dempsey Gold Bar, which costs £456 to ship to the UK.
Luckily, Beauty Pie has a dupe on sale for £22.50 – the Sculpting Facial Roller, which costs £100 full price.
Molly recommends using these beauty tools long term for greater anti-ageing benefits, including collagen stimulation and skin tightening.
However, she assured that she “absolutely sees an instant effect, in the sense that it wakes the skin up”.
Molly has established herself as a prominent figure in the world of make-up artistry, with a career spanning over two decades.
She’s known for her versatile skills to create a variety of looks, from red carpet glam to bold editorial looks.
More recently, she had director and Oscar nominee Greta Gerwig red carpet ready for the 96th Academy Awards.
She also painted actress Natasha Lyonne’s face for the front cover of Dujour magazine, and had Selma Blair camera-ready for Glamour’s Women of The Year Daring To Disrupt Cover.
