I’m a fashion influencer building a tiny house – I’m custom-making my own ‘walk-in closet’
A DIY-SAVVY style enthusiast has revealed how she was able to add a walk-in closet to her tiny home.
She custom-designed the space that was needed for her ever-growing collection of clothes as a fashion influencer.
Tiffany (@beautyandabuilder) has garnered over 252,000 followers on TikTok, where she shares the process of working on her tiny house.
She went viral on the social media platform after revealing that she had designed a storage space for her clothes.
“As you guys know I’m a fashion influencer and it was super important for me to have storage for all of my clothes in a really nice and organized manner,” she said.
“That led to this design.”
The fashionista showed a graphic on her computer of the storage unit she had designed for her walk-in closet.
She then revealed the tedious process of using her DIY skills to put it together.
“I started off using half-inch finished pieces of plywood,” she said.
“That way I can make the inserts for the staircases.
“I decided to use wheels so they can support a lot more weight, rather than using little pullout racks.
“And if I wanted I could take them all out at once and look at my whole closet.
“I got the tiny wheels on Amazon.”
Tiffany applied the wheels to the bottom of the closet before screwing the sides on.
She used a square throughout to ensure that all the pieces lined up as she wanted them to.
“As you can see I’m assembling this thing and it has a weird little curve,” she said.
“That’s because the wheel well is right underneath the stairs.
“The little break in the woods is to make it contour around the wheel well, which there is no way of avoiding.
“As you guys saw, I made some prefab [prefabricated] holes that way the wood wouldn’t split when I put in the screws.
“I also used the square the whole way through, which you guys would be really proud of.
“Putting it together was fairly easy because I had already precut the pieces but I had to make sure that I was putting it in the right places so that way it would fit underneath the staircase.
“The hardest bit was definitely making everything square.
“Once I had it all squared in place, this was the final product now I just need to put in some clothing racks.”
“A walk-in closet in a tiny house? Doing the impossible,” she added.
Over 2,400 people liked the video and impressed viewers took to the comment section eager to see more tiny home projects.
A top commenter described her walk-in closet as “crazy cool.”
