An indefinite shutdown by Eastern Nagaland People's Organisation affected normal life in six districts. Shops, offices, and educational institutions remained closed. ENPO demanded a separate 'Frontier Naga Territory' state and called for a boycott of Nagaland Assembly polls. The tribes of eastern Nagaland support the demand.
