20 places to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in Los Angeles County
Looking for a spot to belly up to the bar for a pint of Guinness, a glass of whiskey or to enjoy some corned beef and hash this St. Patrick’s Day, Sunday, March 17?
We’ve pulled together a list of bars, pubs, restaurants and other locations hosting some St. Patrick’s Day fun with live entertainment and drink and food specials in Los Angeles county. Some of the events are taking place on St. Patrick’s Day weekend or all month long.

Callahan’s Irish Pub

Though this pub celebrates all things Irish year round, they’re marking the holiday with the usual bar food but with the addition of live entertainment, celebratory drink specials and, of course, corned beef and cabbage.
The Auld Fella

Come hungry and ready to party because the Auld Fella is opening early at 8 a.m. and serving classic dishes like Bangers and Mash, Shepherds Pie and Corned Beef and Cabbage. Live music and performances on March 17 will include the Celtic Irish Dance Academy and the Bracken Band.
Hermosa Beach’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade

The beach city’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade will return on Saturday, March 16 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. It will include live music, dancing, bagpipers and others marching down the street from Pier Avenue at the greenbelt to Hermosa Avenue to 10th Street. Live music at on the Pier Plaza will follow the parade until 4 p.m. with various food and beverage vendors available on-site.
The Auld Dubliner

For an authentic Irish pub experience, it’s hard to beat The Auld Dubliner. The co-owner of this classic pub was born and raised in Limerick, Ireland, so things here are legit. That means don’t expect green beer, but instead drink specials on a large collection of whiskeys from around the world. People can also expect food specials on authentic Irish grub like corned beef and cabbage, Guinness beef stew, shepherd’s pie and Irish breakfast served all day.
The Queen Mary

While she may have Scottish roots, the Queen Mary’s heart will be Irish on St. Patrick’s Day weekend. The St. Patrick’s Day and Eve Pub Stroll is happening aboard the ship on March 16-17. The $30 ticket will give those who are older than 21 access to the ship and its bars where there will be Irish music and other Irish-themed entertainment taking place.
Angel City Brewery

The downtown L.A. brewery is getting into the green spirit with a two-day celebration on March 16-17 that will include green craft beer, Irish food, and Irish music. On Saturday, check out the Jameson Gang Trio from 7-10 p.m. On Sunday, rotating musicians will be playing classic Irish music from 1-6 p.m.
Molly Malone’s

This is one of the best known Irish pubs in the city (and the birthplace of Irish punk rock band Flogging Molly) and it will get packed on St. Patrick’s Day. So get there early when doors open at 9 a.m. March 17 to catch live acts like the Hounds of Belfast and Echo Park rockers Sanglorians. There will be green beer and food specials too. Tickets are $10 at the door.

The more than 100-year-old restaurant holds an epic St. Patrick’s Day party every year starting at 11 a.m. Expect a live music tent, pints of green beer and plenty of Irish pub food. It’s $10 to get into the music tent or get a VIP ticket for $162.78, which gives you access to the VIP area and bar, plus drink and food deals. Reservations are required to dine inside the restaurant.
The Original Farmer’s Market

Get your green on from 12:30-6 p.m. at the Farmer’s Market celebration. It will include a roaming bagpiper, Irish folk music by The Merry Minstrels on the East Patio and green beer, Guinness and a large selection of imported Irish beer on tap at E.B’s Beer & Wine and Bar 326. Irish food including corned beef and cabbage will be served at Magee’s Kitchen.
Le Roy’s

This city’s landmark diner serves some excellent foods perfect for St. Patrick’s Day, such as the Reuben and corned beef sandwiches. They also serve an excellent corn beef hash if you’re just craving a side order.

The Irish Center of Southern California is hosting a buffet lunch and live entertainment by Ken O’Malley and Cleary Irish Dance. The Welcome reception 11.30 a.m. followed by the food served from noon-2:30 p.m. $50 at eventbrite.com.
Griffins of Kinsale

If you’re looking for a traditional Irish atmosphere that serves beer and liquor with live entertainment you’ll want to check out Griffins. The food menu has a variety of dishes too including serval potato-focused Irish fare and corned beef hash sandwiches (along with the classic corned beef and cabbage of course). Opens at 4 p.m.
The Fox Theater

The historical theater in downtown Pomona will host a St. Patrick’s Day house music party. Guests are encouraged to wear green outfits and beads. The person with the most beads will have a chance to win several gifts, including a pot full of cash. 3-11 p.m. $10 or two for $15.

If you haven’t tried the sandwiches at this deli and are looking for a slight twist of an Irish dish, you’ll want to taste the corned beef & swiss sandwich made with house sauerkraut, Thousand Island dressing and pickles on sourdough bread.

If you’re going to be in Pomona’s downtown area, stop by O’Donovan’s Restaurant & Pub. They will be serving drink specials to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day but what makes this spot standout are its twist on corned beef and cabbage items such as the corned beef tacos and the corned beef burger.

St. Patrick’s Day is being celebrated all month at this Torrance eatery and brewery, which is home to Buzzrock Brewing Co. The St. Patrick’s specials are available until March 31 and include corned beef sandwiches, craft green beer and a Clover Shake, which is a green vanilla shake spiked with Irish whiskey.
San Pedro Fish Market

The San Pedro Fish Market in Long Beach will debut corned beef tacos along with green beer on St. Patrick’s Day. The tacos are made with thinly sliced corned beef, shredded cabbage, pickled chili, pico de gallo, and a cilantro lime crema on flour tortillas. They will be available all day on March 17 for dine-in only.
