I’m house-hunting and toured a home with the trickiest-to-get-into shower – some husband must have installed it himself
A HOUSE hunter was in for a surprise when she toured one home’s bathroom.
She already placed blame on one person for the shocking shower setup that almost left her trapped.
“POV – looking to buy a house but this is the shower,” said Mel (@crispmel).
She attempted to open the shower door – if that’s what it could be called.
The sideways-appearing glass enclosure that had to be pushed up and stopped halfway was indeed the trickiest-to-get-into shower she had ever encountered.
Mel bent down in order to get into the bathing space but already had a concern.
“I don’t know how I’m going to get out. If it shut can you get out? Occupational hazard,” she said.
She hurriedly opened up the enclosure as much as possible to escape before anything went wrong.
She also had her own theory as to what – or who – must have been responsible for the quirky setup.
“No babe, we don’t need to hire anyone, I got this,” she said.
Mel seemed to be convinced that some husband who wasn’t accustomed to asking for help must have been the one to install the unusual shower.
Her shocked face said it all as she finally made it out safely, but it seemed to take a bit of back bending.
Her fans were also stunned by the unconventional configuration.
“Imagine the wife asking the husband to install the door while she’s out – came back to that,” said one follower.
“Bet they had or bought the wrong size and just flipped it instead of doing it right,” said another viewer.
“Uhm, they installed it sideways? Why?” asked one watcher.
“Imagine there’s a huge spider in there and trying to get out in a hurry,” said yet another follower.
Still, one viewer was amused by the original design.
“It’s creative at least,” she said.
According to a poll by the website Houzz, 12% of couples admit to considering separation or divorce during mid-model renovations.
While some found the process to be a collaborative endeavor, others were admittedly frustrated by their home projects.
