Ticket alert: Sting to rock Fillmore Miami Beach on fall tour
Perpetual rock star Sting is coming to The Fillmore Miami Beach on Sunday, Oct. 20, one of just a dozen stops on his fall 2024 Sting 3.0 Tour.
Tickets are scheduled to go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. Friday, March 15, at Sting.com. A series of presales will take place throughout the week for fan club members and Citi and American Express cardholders.
In performing at a venerable rock-pop venue like The Fillmore, the tour also will take Sting back to the three-piece rock setting that produced his breakout music with The Police. Sting, on bass, will be accompanied by longtime collaborator Dominic Miller on guitar and Chris Maas (Mumford & Sons, Maggie Rogers) on drums.
There are a legion of fans who came to Sting’s music through his recent solo work, including “Desert Rose,” “Fields of Gold” and “Englishman in New York.” But his hits with The Police — “Roxanne,” “Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic,” “Message in a Bottle” and “Every Breath You Take” — are still beloved, especially on karaoke night.
The tour currently is scheduled to stop in a dozen cities, with multiple concerts in several of them, including Detroit, Toronto, Philadelphia, Brooklyn, Chicago, San Francisco and Los Angeles. There is space on the tour schedule to add a second Miami concert, if ticket sales encourage it.
