Grafton Lakes State Park to host annual Trout Day
GRAFTON, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Grafton Lakes State Park will hold its annual Trout Day on April 4th from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Visitors are welcome to assist the Department of Environmental Conservation in stocking Long Pond and Second Pond with trout.
There will be various activities suitable for people of all age groups. At noon, the park will receive a stock of trout. After the ponds are stocked, children under 16 years of age will be provided an opportunity to learn how to fish. However, anglers aged 16 or above must possess a valid NYS fishing license to participate in the activity.
There is no need to register for the event. The cost of admission is $3 per person, and payment is accepted only in cash. Children ages 5 and under can enter for free. Upon arrival, visitors are requested to make use of the main entrance on Grafton Lakes State Park Way and park their vehicles in the Rabbit Run parking lot.
