TikToker Amal (@uh-mal) said that her favorite morning routine is to have an ice facial.
She fills a bowl with water and ice and dunks her face into the bath for about five seconds.
Amal wipes some of the water from her eyes and then goes for a second dunk.
She stays submerged for another five seconds.
In less than 30 seconds, Amal’s morning skincare routine is completed.
In the comments section, Amal said you don’t have to seven days a week.
“If you’re new to ice facials, try it once every other day or maybe three times a week,” she said.
So what are the benefits of submerging your face in frigid water?
Amal said there are advantages, like reducing puffiness, and inflammation, closing pores, and plumping and brightening skin.
She said it can also reduce oiliness, lessen the appearance of under-eye bags, and prevent signs of aging.
There isn’t any scientific proof to verify claims that facial skin icing aids in anti-aging, according to Healthline.
However, icing has proven benefits, like lessening pain, reducing swelling, and quickening recovery.
