The Packers cutting David Bakhtiari and Aaron Jones has NFL fans thinking about Aaron Rodgers and the Jets
The Green Bay Packers released two long-time franchise stars on Monday, and everyone had an immediate landing spot in mind for both of them.
As tackle David Bakhtiari and running back Aaron Jones both got cut by Green Bay, NFL fans immediately linked the dots to the New York Jets and quarterback Aaron Rodgers.
As the Jets have a need at both left tackle and running back, everyone automatically assumed that Rogers would lobby New York general manager Joe Douglas to bring in his old Green Bay teammates.
Rodgers successfully convinced former Packers wide receivers Allen Lazard and Randall Cobb to play with him in the Big Apple last season, and it wouldn’t shock us in the slightest of Rodgers is already in the process of making sure he lands two more former teammates this offseason.
