Nvidia sued by authors for AI copyright infringement

SANTA CLARA, California: Nvidia, which produces chips that power artificial intelligence (AI), has been sued by authors Brian Keene, Abdi Nazemian and Stewart O'Nan, who said it used their copyrighted books without permission to train its NeMo AI platform.

The authors said that before being taken down in October "due to reported copyright infringement," their works were part of a dataset of some 196,640 books th
