FORECAST DISCUSSION:
Happy Thursday!
We start the morning with a few spotty showers for parts of the region, then we'll see lots of dry time from about mid-morning to mid-afternoon.
More showers and thunderstorms then develop later this afternoon, lasting through the evening and overnight hours.
This is the timeframe we'll be watching most closely, for the potential for a few strong to severe storms.
The Storm Prediction Center has our area under a level 1-2 out of 5 risk for severe storms, with the primary threats being damaging winds and hail, with an isolated tornado chance.
Storms continue Friday morning, transitioning to mainly rain into the early afternoon, before eventually clearing off to the south. Temperatures begin to fall Friday, back into the upper 50s during the afternoon.
The weekend will be cooler than we have been, but still above average, and still fairly nice! Expect highs in the upper 50s Saturday, with lots of sunshine.
An isolated shower works through late Saturday and overnight into Sunday, then we'll be drier Sunday, with partly cloudy skies, and highs into the lower 50s.
We'll be watching for a few scattered snow showers Monday, as temperatures fall back into the lower 40s.
