Cheltenham Day Three (1 reply)

The rain and the ground mean I've swayed back to Facile Vega today. He's been campaigned as a 2m horse, but I think the step up in trip will suit looking at his pedigree and hopefully allows him to get into a better jumping rhythm when he's not taken off his feet. Crucially, he's run well twice at Cheltenham before when winning the Bumper in 2022 and when second to Marine National in the Supreme last year.
Djelo is the EW play too. He won his first three chases and was then wiped out at the first by another horse in his next race (where he was fav to beat JPR One, Matata and Master Chewy who all ran in the Arkle earlier in the week). His second last time out was due to being held up. Expecting a good round of front-running jumping today.

Hard to look further than Le Milos after Skelton's exploits yesterday, this horse is also seemingly on a too-good-to-be-true mark. Cuthbert Dibble very well-backed this morning. Cleatus Poolaw will be there or there abouts.

What a good race this will be. Festival form the key again here for me and Envoi Allen has won three times at the Festival. Banbridge will hate the ground, Stage Star shouldn't be able to dictate from the front like last year's Turners. Protektorat has mixed it in good company this year and could be a class angle alternative.

Sir Gerhard is the festival form angle, but I've plumped for Noble Yeats - the 2022 Grand Natuional winner - who has come back to life for the

Artic Bresil. 14/1. Rachel Blackmore and Henry de Bromhead. Stepping up in trip. Say no more.

The race of the week? I've no idea what to do here, so probably a watching brief. Gordon Elliot has been raving about Brighterdaysahead for a while now, and he doesn't get excited very often, but she has excellent claims. You can't willingly oppose Jade de Grugy though either who has yet to be beaten in France or Ireland. She won the race that Laurina and Limini won for Mullins in the past and has bundles of potential. Then there's Dysart Enos - who I've just seen is a non-runner. what a bloody shame, she made it a brilliant three-way clash.

The fav here has been running all season with the likes of Gaelic Warrior and is a good horse, but you can't be taking 5/2 in this surely!? Whereitallbegan won on heavy recently and is unexposed. He was 12s yesterday but is a little skinny now. Angels Dawn would be the second EW play in the race.
Enjoy!
