I quit my job and now earn 6 figures working just 10 hours a week…my side hustles are 10/10 easy, anyone can do them
HAVE you ever considered throwing your job in and starting your own income stream?
Well, one savvy woman has told how leaving her tech job was the best decision she ever made…because she now works just 10 hours a week and rakes in a whopping £78k ($100,000) a year.
Grace Ryu now has an impressive eight different income streams, including everything from petsitting to nannying.
“Although building my income streams took a lot of hustling upfront, I wish I had started sooner,” she says, speaking to Business Insider.
“I went from making £6 ($8)/hour working a labor-intensive job as a ranch hand to now making over £78k ($100,000) a year from only working around 40 hours a month.”
Now, she’s shared an insight into how much she makes from each, how difficult they are and how long she spends doing them…
Luxury picnic business
Ease level: 9.10
Lucrative rating: 7/10
Grace runs the luxury picnic company with both her best friend and partner, with the business garnering more attention after they shared their products on Facebook Marketplace.
To really get the word around, they also handed out flyers and their strategy seemed to work, with the trio breaking even the first week following their promotional efforts.
Since then, the business has gone from strength to strength and now consists of a team of six people.
This means that Grace can leave much of the work to her team and only does around an hour a week – not bad considering she can take home around £2.3k ($3,000) a month.
Influencer brand deals
Ease level: 8/10
Lucrative rating: 10/10
Grace uses her TikTok platform to share posts about her different business set ups and to promote different products, which only consumes around one hour of her week.
While she started off doing it for free, she’s now garnered quite the social media following, and charges around £780 ($1,000) per post.”
Affiliate marketing
Easy level: 7/10
Lucrative rating: 9/10
The savvy woman explains how she got into affiliate marketing after spending 5 minutes applying to Amazon‘s influencer programme.
And if the income is anything to go by, it’s been a wise decision, as she can make up to £1.5k ($2,000) monthly.
So, just how does it work?
Grace explains that she posts products from Amazon on her social media videos and shares a link, which then take fans to her storefront and gives them the option to purchase them.
She then earns a commission from them every time a product is purchased.
However, Grace warns that while it’s super easy to begin with, the big bucks only come once your post really goes viral, which isn’t always guaranteed.
User-generated content
Easy level: 4/10
Lucrative rating: 8/10
User-generated content (UGC) is often mistaken for sponsorships, but Grace explains the two are different – mainly because UGC is content created for brands to use directly.

For example, she explains how a lash company reached out and asked her to make TikTok videos for them, which they then shared on their own official company account.
Grace adds that because she’s managed to bag what’s known as retainer clients, she’s paid a regularly month fee – as long as she sticks to her agreement in producing a certain amount of content as requested by the brand, of course.
While it can take around eight hours a week, it seems to be worth her efforts, as it earns Grace a whopping £4.6k ($6,000) to £6.2k ($8,000) a month.
Pet sitting
Easy level: 10/10
Lucrative rating: 10/10
If you’re an animal lover and trying to rack your brains for a side hustle to earn some extra dollar on the side, then this one’s a no brainer, according to Grace.
She explains how she joined an app called Rover while working in her tech job, which instantly connected her with pet owners.
She notes that at one point she was looking after someone’s pet pretty much every day and loved the fact it still gave her time to concentrate on her other jobs.
Airbnb arbitrage
Easy level: 2/10
Lucrative rating: 4/10
In stark comparison, Grace is very honest in admitting that Airbnb arbitage is both the trickiest and least beneficial stream of income financially for her.
For anyone who is unsure of how it works, she explains: “How it works is I rent a property from a landlord for £1.2k ($1,700), for example, and once my business partner and I get the green light to use it as a short-term or mid-term rental, we list the property on platforms like Airbnb and VRBO.”
Grace says she and her business partner earn money from the listing, which, once split, tends to be around £468 ($600) per month.
However, she warns that she spends around six hours a month looking after the maintenance and cleaning side of things.
Selling digital products
Easy level: 10/10
Lucrative rating: 4/10
Grace explains that this income stream idea came about at the request of her social media followers.
She notes how several people reached out and asked for her to coach them, so she decided to monetise off the demand by creating a content creation e-book.
Whenever she receives a request, she simply sends them the link to purchase her e-book, which costs £15 ($20) and makes her up to £62 ($80) a month.
Nannying
Easy level: 8/10
Lucrative rating: 9/10
If you’re good with kids, then Grace points out that nannying is a great option for you.
She explains how the family she works for request her service around four times a year, for up to three weeks at a time, and she gets paid £936 ($1,200) a week for doing so.
Grace adds that her days involve ferrying the kids to school, spending the rest of the day working on her other income streams, before cooking dinner, playing with them and putting them to bed when they’re back home.
