I’m a granny-to-8 but still show off my figure in tiny bikinis & shorts – I’m trolled but won’t stop wearing what I want
A 57-YEAR-OLD grandmother of eight has hit back at trolls who criticise her for showing off her figure in tiny bikinis and short shorts.
Fran is no stranger to being criticised for her choice of outfits on her Instagram page, with the ensembles often drawing attention to her svelte frame.
But she told us that she really “doesn’t care” what anyone says about her style, and will continue wearing what she wants regardless of her age.
“People often troll me,” she sighed.
“It’s a social narrative that older women should dress a certain way.
“However I believe you should wear what you feel comfortable in, and I like to encourage other women to do the same no matter what the age.”
She rarely takes the time to respond to trolls, as she insisted: “I just live life my way, I really don’t care what other people, that I don’t know, have an opinion on my outfit.”
And Fran – who has five adult children – won’t be changing her style choices any time soon either.
“I will continue wearing what I want regardless of my age…” she vowed.
“Clothes have size, but not age, in the label, and you really have to wear what you feel comfortable in.”
Her kids are also proud of her decision to live life on “her terms”.
“I was never a ‘typical mother’, probably because I was super young when I had them, so they love me as I am,” she smiled.
Fran also finds her social media posts attract comments from people asking how she looks so young – with some even saying that she looks decades younger than her actual age.
But when it comes to her skincare, Fran is all about keeping things simple.
“I don’t wear any make-up, but I use sunscreen and hyaluronic acid serum everyday,” she said.
As for her nighttime routine, she gives her face a clean with micellar water, before using a Vitamin C serum and anti dark spot cream.
Diet wise, Fran makes sure she gets “enough protein and fresh fruit and vegetables” daily.
She also doesn’t eat alcohol, and “barely eat sugar or ultra processed food”.
