Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar refuted the BJP's claim that the Congress government was secretly releasing Cauvery river water to Tamil Nadu amidst the state's water scarcity. "It is completely untrue. There is no water to release. This is merely a political tactic by the BJP," stated Shivakumar, who also serves as the State Congress President, during a press briefing.
