‘Clearly it’s been worn without underwear’ disgusted Vinted buyer says & begs sellers to stick to ‘good condition’ rules
A VINTED buyer was left disgusted when she bought a “good condition” bodysuit, and it arrived having clearly been worn.
She took to Reddit to “vent” about the situation, as she titled her post: “My good condition definitely isn’t someone else’s good condition”.
“I try err on the side of ‘If I can get the stain out it has to be a genuine mistake, just crack on with it and leave positive feedback.’.”
But she added that she’s starting to think that “people use Vinted as a recycling centre for clothes past their best”.
She bought two Superdry bodysuits that had been listed as “good condition”.
“I couldn’t believe it when they arrived,” she continued.
“These have obviously been worn with thongs or without underwear and not washed after.”
In addition, there was “pen on the shoulder and make up/food stains on the top and collar”.
“Items like this make me want to take the hit, leave an honest review and inform this sellers future buyers of what ‘good condition’ means,” she concluded.
The comments section was almost immediately filled with people siding with the buyer, as one wrote: “Is…is that discharge on one of them?”
“Yeah, I believe it is,” the poster replied.
“I’d leave bad feedback for that – I normally think it’s kind to give people a chance to make things right (all of us can miss a small stain or a pulled thread), but this is blatant and gross,” another added.
“I once received a pair of jeans with a blood stain at the crotch,” a third commented.
“The seller did refund me half the price, but I was too disgusted to even try to clean the stain and ended up discarding it (since there’s no way I could donate it in that state).”
“Yeah that’s pretty beat up,” someone else wrote.
“Definitely not ‘good’ condition.
“I wouldn’t even try and sell those, probably not even suitable for donation either.”
“I’m going to try and reach out to Vinted and see what they say,” the buyer responded.
“I’m a bit befuddled to think that these items were ok to sell and post out to someone.”
