Columbus Metropolitan Library to open new Reynoldsburg branch

0

REYNOLDSBURG, Ohio (WCMH) – The new Reynoldsburg branch of the Columbus Metropolitan Library is set to open its doors this spring.

The library, located at 1402 Brice Road, will open to the public on April 24 after a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 3:30 p.m.

The new branch will be opening at the site where the previous Reynoldsburg branch was located. The original library was built in 1980 and was expanded to 19,800 square feet in 1990. The former library was demolished in 2022, and the new library will roughly double the size of its predecessor at 39,200 square feet.

Before the new library opens its doors, the temporary Reynoldsburg branch, located at 1308 Brice Road, will close on April 13. The Columbus Metropolitan Library suggests customers visit nearby locations, such as the library’s Barnett and Whitehall branches, until the new Reynoldsburg branch opens.

Before the closure of the temporary location, the Columbus Metropolitan Library is offering Reynoldsburg customers the chance to sign their names to a commemorative panel beginning April 1 that will be installed at the new branch.

The temporary location is open Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. The library is closed on Sundays.
