Emily Blunt Ditched the Awards Show Ballgowns & Rocked a Chic Cropped Top at Her Latest Red Carpet

All throughout this year’s awards show season, Emily Blunt has wowed us with her looks. From her showstopping naked dress at the 2024 EE BAFTA Awards to her blush-toned gown at the Vanity Fair Oscars Party, Blunt has really given a masterclass in how to tackle awards show season.

Following the last award of the season with Sunday’s Oscars, however, Blunt in keeping her fashion streak going with a stylish appearance at the 2024 SXSW in Austin, Texas.

For the red carpet, which she attended in support of her upcoming movie The Fall Guy, Blunt wore a checker-patterned black and white cropped top with a matching cardigan and low-waisted black pants. The look, which was paired with white sneakers and a slicked-back ponytail, perfectly showed off her toned abs.

Also attending the red carpet in style was Blunt’s co-star in the movie Ryan Gosling. Gosling wore light-wash denim pants to the event paired with a white t-shirt, a denim jacket and a statement red bomber jacket with the movie’s title printed on top.

In the movie, Gosling stars as a stuntman named Colt who is working in a mega-budget movie directed by his ex Jody (Blunt) when the star of the movie goes missing. “Now, this working-class hero has to solve a conspiracy and try to win back the love of his life while still doing his day job,” the description reads. “What could possibly go right?”

Prior to their appearance in Texas, both Blunt and Gosling attended the 2024 Oscars as nominees (Gosling was nominated for Best Supporting Actor for Barbie while Blunt was nominated for Best Supporting Actress for Oppenheimer). And while the two didn’t take home their awards on Sunday, Blunt’s glittering gown and Gosling’s “I’m Just Ken” performance were iconic by themselves. We can’t wait to see them hit the big screen together!
