West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee sustained a serious injury on her forehead and nose after falling at home after returning from a political program in Gariahat. She was taken to the Woodburn ward of a public-run SSKM hospital. The incident occurred at around 7PM and there was a lot of bleeding. Banerjee is conscious and is undergoing MRI and CT-scan to determine the cause of her fall.
