I lived with Jedward and it was hell – I agree with Louis Walsh, CBB legend Nicola McLean tells our podcast
CELBRITY Big Brother legend Nicola McLean has jumped to the defence of Louis Walsh after he was slammed for comments about Jedward.
Louis, 71, opened up about working with John and Edward Grimes this week and revealed he’s definitely not a fan of the Irish music act.
Speaking to his Celebrity Big Brother housemate and Coronation Street star Colson Smith, the former X Factor judge said: “They were vile but they were great for the show.
“I got five million quid for them.”
Jedward immediately hit back at Louis on social media, warning “justice will be served”.
However Nicola, 42 – who has had three stints in the CBB house and lived with Jedward during the 2019 All Stars series – exclusively told our Celebrity Big Brother Breakdown podcast, in association with Press Box PR: “I lived with Jedward.
“It was hell, it really was. I found them really antagonistic and contrived.
“I thought I would love living with them because I’m quite childlike and always on the go but they were non-stop.”
Nicola added: “All Louis is doing is speaking the truth and bringing the gossip – it would be quite boring without him!”
Tonight Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu will leave Louis – and fans – floored when she chooses him during face-to-face nominations.
Despite having been close to Louis from the beginning, Ekin-Su slams him as “lazy”.
Nicola said: “That’s horrible. I can’t get on board with that, she really has clung to Louis. I do think she’s playing a game – I’d be sticking with Louis.”

GOING STRONG
Louis Walsh – The boyband manager, who’s has never knowingly backed down from a fight, regularly trends for for his outrageous remarks
Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu – Whatever you do, don’t mention Love Island to Ekin! Her place in the house is now looking shaky after losing some allies
Levi Roots – Reggae Reggae Sauce sauce packs a bit of a kick, but its inventor seems quite mild-mannered. Will that change under pressure?
Fern Britton – The former This Morning star called out Phillip Schofield – but has seemed like a kind and gentle soul in the house
Colson Smith – You’ll probably know him best as Corrie’s Craig Tinker – but prepare to find out he’s not much like his character
David Potts – Ibiza Weekender’s breakout star has left that show behind – as well as his trousers by the look of things
Marisha Wallace – It’s not CBB without the role of ‘American who doesn’t know what they’ve let themselves in for’ and she’s doing brilliantly
Nikita Kuzmin – The Strictly pro is coming onto the show fresh off the show’s tour. Poor lad probably just wants a rest
Zeze Millz – the social media star has a “no holds barred interview style” – and she hasn’t backed away from calling people (well, Louis) out
Bradley Riches – The actor played kindly James McEwan in Netflix hit Heartstopper and he seems just as sweet in the house
HEADED HOME
Sharon Osbourne – TV legend was a “house guest” on a megabucks deal and an ensuite bedroom, but disappeared after nine days
Lauren Simon – Real Housewives of Cheshire star was the second person to leave. The stars put her up for eviction and the public did the rest
Gary Goldsmith – Kate Middleton’s uncle was a big signing for ITV, but he was booted out first after failing to impress viewers
