Critics of medical aid in dying turn their backs on suffering | READER COMMENTARY
Jeffrey S. Trimbath’s one-sided attack on all aspects of the right to die never mentions the unbearable pain that almost all who wish to exercise this alternative are made to suffer (“Medical aid in dying bill rightfully fails in Annapolis,” March 11).
The Maryland Family Institute, of which he is president, advocates for government control of a woman’s decision whether to give birth and a persons determination to end their suffering at life’s end. I do hope he is not one of those conservatives who constantly decries the interference of the government in what should be private matters.
