Niskayuna man arrested after crash involving children

NISKAYUNA, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A Niskayuna man has been arrested following a crash with children in the car, according to police. Kyle Osborn, 32, is facing multiple charges.

On February 2 at 4:08 p.m., police responded to Van Antwerp Road near Crimson Oak Court following the report of a car crashing into three telephone poles. Within the car, officers found the driver, identified as Osborn, as well as three passengers that were all children under five-years-old.

Osborn was taken to Ellis Hospital to be treated for minor injuries. Police say that none of the children were reported as injured.

An investigation conducted by Niskayuna Police led to Osborn's arrest. He now faces the following charges:

• Aggravated DWI with a child passenger (Leandra’s Law)
• Driving while intoxicated
• Aggravated DWI - BAC .18 or more
• Endangering the welfare of a child

Osborn was arraigned in Niskayuna Town Justice Court on March 13 before being released on his own recognizance. His next court appearance is scheduled for a later date.
