The Department of Investment and Public Asset Management (DIPAM) clarified that it was not consulted for Indian Oil Corp's acquisition of Mercator Petroleum Ltd through the insolvency process, denying any delay on its part affecting the transaction closure. DIPAM stated that Mercator informed them about the deal on February 6, and it communicated its position to Mercator and the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas on February 7.
