Mayor Sheehan signs fluoridated water bill into law
ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Chief of staff to Albany Mayor Kathy Sheehan, David Galin, announced on Saturday that Mayor Sheehan signed Local Law K, which addresses adding fluoride to Albany's drinking water, into law. Galin reported in his post that the effort to fluoridate Albany's water has been going on for nearly seven decades.
This follows the Albany Common Council's vote to add fluoride to Albany drinking water last month. According to the legislation documents, Local Law K will take effect upon final passage, public hearing, and filing with the Secretary of State.
