Time to party, Irish-style: What to do for St. Patrick's Day in Portland
PORTLAND, Ore. (PORTLAND TRIBUNE) -- It’s on a Sunday, which means Portlanders have the opportunity to party all day without worry about work — maybe there’ll be some guilt about whooping it up on a Sunday, but who knows?
The thing is Monday comes the next day, meaning it’s back to work for most people.
St. Patrick’s Day, Sunday, March 17 promises to be another fun time in Portland with scores of events. One would think there’ll be some celebrating the day before, Saturday, as well.
Here’s a rundown of some things to do before and during St. Patrick’s Day 2024:
Shamrock Run
Let’s start off with something healthy for you.
There’ll be nearly 20,000 runners for 2024 Shamrock Run Portland, Sunday morning, March 17 in downtown Portland. Registration may be closed for the 46th annual run, but it’s a terrific spectator event.
