The Punjab government issued a show cause notice to State Principal Health Secretary Ajoy Sharma over the IVF treatment sought by Sidhu Moosewala's family without informing CM Bhagwant Mann. The Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare had previously sought a report from Punjab regarding the IVF treatment of Sidhu Moosewala's mother, Charan Kaur. Moosewala's father, Balkaur Singh, alleged harassment by the Punjab government following the birth of his second son through IVF, nearly two years after Moosewala's death. Opposition leaders criticized the AAP government for causing distress to the Sidhu family.
