Princess Kate is working from home as she eases back into normal life in clearest sign yet of return to public duties
PRINCESS Kate has been working from home as she eases herself back into normal life and duties.
The royal, 42, was spotted out and about with Prince William at the weekend – and we exclusively published a video of the pair.
In the clip Kate can be seen beaming as she walks at Wills’ side, leaving a farm shop near their home in Windsor.
It was the first time we had seen the pair together since Christmas and was a welcomed sight for royal fans across the globe.
The princess is not set to return to the public eye until after Easter, but Kensington Palace has now said she has been working away at one of her beloved projects while at home.
Kate has hailed her Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood, which is aimed at raising the profile of the early years development of children, as her “life’s work”.
In November last year, she beamed as she made her biggest speech yet as she announced her “vision for the future”.
And even while she’s at home recovering from abdominal surgery, Princess Kate has been involved in the project.
The charity has funded a trial of a baby observation tool, and the results are set to be published today.
And Kate has naturally been highly invested in the four-month trial – even while she’s been on the mend.
Kensington Palace told the Telegraph: “The princess has been kept updated throughout the process.”
Kate’s love for the project was something Prince William made a touching remark about on Tuesday.
Wills beamed as he met locals working in – and impacted by – homelessness in Sheffield.
There, someone touched on the topic of childhood, to which Wills instantly smiled, before referring to the success of his wife’s projects.
The heir said his wife should have been there at his side today, after her years committed to Early Years projects.
Holding his palms out and grinning, Wills said: “We’re venturing into my wife’s territory. She needs to be sat here to hear this.”
It was the first time the heir had been seen since the clip of him and Kate had been made public.
Princess Kate video shows she's recovering well & warms my heart, says The Sun's royal photographer Arthur Edwards
IT’S lovely to see Catherine looking so happy.
People keep asking me, ‘Where’s Kate? How’s Kate?’
These pictures are the answer. She’s obviously recovering well from the quite serious operation she had in January.
The images of her smiling really warm my heart and I’m sure millions of others will be so pleased to see the Princess out and about.
There have been so many rumours circulated about her on social media – but they can now be put to rest.
It was lovely to see William at Kate’s side. I bet other visitors to the farm shop couldn’t believe their eyes when they walked in.
But I know the shop and it’s close to their home and sells wonderful produce.
Kate was really hammered by some for doctoring her Mother’s Day picture.
I really felt for her – she was just trying to produce a lovely picture of her family.
So it’s nice to see these wonderful images of her with a beaming smiling and clearly working her way back to full health.
Now I’m so looking forward to her getting back to life as a working Royal, when she’s fully ready. She’s been missed by millions.
Despite the video clearly showing the princess was recovering well, crazy conspiracy theorists were still spreading wild rumours online.
It was revealed last night that Wills was now asking: “When will it stop?”
One royal author wrote in the Daily Mail that William, 41, would feel like he has the “weight of the world on his shoulders” while his father is also ill as the rumours swirl.
Rebecca English wrote: “I know he is angry, frustrated and, yes, deeply disappointed, at what has transpired over recent weeks. ‘When will it all stop?’ he is said to have asked.”
She said that the worst part of all would be the ridiculous theories being thrown around online.
Rebecce continued: “Theories, including claims she used a body double at the Windsor Farm Shop and this week’s news about her medical records was purposely leaked to deflect from it.”
'Lay off Kate'
THE Sun last week led the way in defending Princess Kate when she was being criticised from all angles over the edited photo saga.
Social media trolls were quick to attack the future Queen over her editing of a Mother’s Day family picture.
Media critics also weighed in with their opinions alongside the idiotic conspiracy theorists, but The Sun stood alone in saying: Lay off Kate.
Our front page blasted: “The furious attacks on the future Queen over her photoshopping of a Mother’s Day family picture are not just absurd.
“They now look like a bullying campaign against a devoted mum, recovering from a serious operation, who simply wanted to offer the public a perfect portrait of her and her kids.
“She meant well, made a mistake and fessed up. Fair enough.
“Now leave her alone to get over her op.”
