"Baby come back"; Ahniysha "Baby" Jackson announces plan to return to Siena

LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- During a time in college basketball when all the headlines appear be about players hitting the transfer portal, it's refreshing to see the players that elect to stay committed to their school. Especially when they're as impactful as Ahniysha "Baby" Jackson.

Jackson, an Albany High School graduate and Watervliet native, announced Wednesday she'd be taking a fifth year of eligibility and returning to Siena College next season.

As a senior this past season, Jackson landed on the All-MAAC third team. She averaged a career-best 13.0 points per game - second-most on the team - and knocked team a team-high 67 three-pointers at a 35% rate.

Six Saints have announced their intention to enter the transfer portal thus far, including Elisa Mevius, the conference's defensive player of the year.
