This decision signifies the conclusion of Dhoni's lengthy tenure as the leader of CSK, during which he guided them to five IPL titles. He led the CSK in 212 IPL matches, winning 128 matches and losing 82. Dhoni announced his retirement from international cricket on August 15, 2020.
