Sri Lanka's inflation drops to 5.1 pct in February

COLOMBO, March 21 (Xinhua) -- Sri Lanka's inflation rate dropped to 5.1 percent in February from 6.5 percent in January, official data showed on Thursday.

Food inflation increased from 4.1 percent to 5 percent and non-food inflation dropped from 8.5 percent to 5.1 percent.

Sri Lanka's inflation has been dropping steadily since September 2022, when inflation was at 69.8 percent.
