In Argentina, where families ache with the disappearances of at least 30,000 people during its country’s bloodiest period, these Argentine women have become a symbol of courage and resistance. Wearing their symbolic white scarves and marching every Thursday around the pyramid of Plaza de Mayo in Buenos Aires, they remain hopeful in finding out what happened to their children and achieving justice for all the crimes committed during the ruling of the military.
