A grey, damp start to Thursday in Portland
PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – Thursday morning might be hard to pull yourself out of bed as you're greeted with cloudy skies and light rain, temperatures in the upper 40s. Rain accumulation along the Willamette Valley will be limited to a few hundredths of an inch for the entire day. Daytime highs will rise to about 60 degrees, which is just 2 degrees above normal for this time in March. More rain will scoot by Portland late Thursday night.
Cool temperatures in the upper 50s to low 60s remain for the rest of the week. Rain intensity picks up Friday through the weekend. Rain totals could push Portland close to an inch by Sunday. A southerly wind increases during the afternoon this weekend. Meanwhile, snow levels will drop to about 4,000 feet with a few inches of snow expected for Mt. Hood ski resorts.
