Three arrested after two separate search warrants in Albany
ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Three people were arrested after two separate search warrants were executed in Albany on Wednesday. Kareem Beasley (19, Troy), Tashawn Traver (51), and William Hartfield (73, Albany) each face charges.
On Wednesday, around 8:50 a.m., Albany police executed a search warrant on the 500 block of First Street connected to an ongoing narcotics investigation. Authorities say Beasley was found inside the home and had a quantity of crack cocaine.
Before executing the search warrant, law enforcement says they stopped Traver near the 300 block of Quail Street regarding the same investigation and took him into custody.
Beasley Charges:
- Fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance
Traver Charges:
- Third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance
Beasley was arraigned in Albany City Criminal Court and was released. Traver was arraigned in Albany City Criminal Court and is held at the Albany County Jail.
Later that day, around 2:50 p.m., Albany police executed a search warrant at Thurlow Terrace regarding another narcotics investigation. Authorities say Hartfield was found inside the home with a quantity of powder cocaine, crack cocaine, and items used to sell narcotics.
Hartfield Charges:
- Third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance (two counts)
- Second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia (two counts)
Hartfield was arraigned in Albany City Criminal Court. He is being held at the Albany County Jail. Police say these two search warrants are not connected.
