Man fatally struck by subway in the Bronx, 6 trains delayed: MTA
BRONX, N.Y. (PIX11) - A person was fatally struck by a subway at the Whitlock Avenue No. 6 line station in the Bronx Thursday morning, according to the MTA.
The man was struck just before 8 a.m. and pronounced dead on the scene, according to the NYPD. No criminality was suspected, police said.
There is no 6 train service between Parkchester and 3 Avenue-138 Street, according to the MTA. Southbound 2 and 5 lines were also unrelatedly delayed Thursday morning because a train needed to be removed for cleaning, transit authorities said.
