SWAT responding to incident in south Austin neighborhood

AUSTIN (KXAN) -- Austin Police Department officers and its SWAT team are responding to a neighborhood in south Austin after receiving what APD called a "gun urgent call."

APD posted on social media that officers are responding to the incident in the 2100 block of Amur Drive and SWAT was on the way.

Police made a reverse 911 call to alert neighbors to shelter in place, according to the post. Others are asked to avoid the area.
