Trump is clearly a fascist threat. And, especially if Republican fair-election-cheating flourishes, he could become President once again. But Trump would not make it there on his own, no matter how historically out-sized his personality is. (And he does rank right up there with authoritarian figures he has expressed admiration for, like Hitler.) Trump still has much support in the Republican section of the ruling class.
