Major error men looking for love on Tinder are making that’s a big turn off for women revealed
MEN who brag about being football fans are more likely to be shown the red card on dating site Tinder, a poll found.
Researchers said just one in 25 female users like the game and are more likely to swipe right for guys who love travel.
Football came 28th in interests ranked by women, who instead prefer more leisurely ways to spend their time – such as reading a book.
This came despite more interest in women’s football and the success of England’s Lionesses.
Men also slash their chances of finding a non-sporty love by admitting passions for golf, cricket, rugby and boxing on the dating site.
But gym workouts were revealed to be a date-winning pastime popular with both men and women looking for love online.
A fitness workout was the third most popular pastime among both men and women, with 21 per cent and 14 per cent naming it respectively.
Fashion, wine and “self care” also appeared on the women’s list – but were entirely absent from the men’s, the Tinder study by CasinoZonder showed.
A spokesman for Casino Zonder said: “Men’s top identified interest on the app is football, with other more active pursuits such as hiking and running appearing in the top 20.
Women are far more likely to enjoy more leisurely interests.
“So men hoping to find a compatible match may want to indulge in some relaxing hobbies.”
